Where your data lives
All data stays in the European Union, with the European provider OVHcloud. It never leaves the EU and the whole operation complies with GDPR. The system and support are in Czech and Slovak, and behind it stands a company with a full legal identity.
Availability and backups
Geographically redundant operation
MEFYS runs simultaneously across several data centres in different EU countries. If one location fails, another takes over — with no outage for you.
Hourly backups
We take full backups every hour. Even if something went wrong, we roll back at most a small step.
Database protected within minutes
Your database is additionally replicated between locations and backed up within minutes. The risk of data loss is minimal.
Traffic protection via Cloudflare
Incoming traffic passes through Cloudflare — encrypted connection and protection against overload and network-level attacks.
Encryption and access
- Encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS) — communication between you and MEFYS is always encrypted.
- Passwords are never stored in readable form — they are securely hashed.
- Two-factor login (2FA) — you can protect your account with a second factor.
- Each company's data is isolated at the database level. Another company cannot reach it.
- Roles and permissions — you decide who sees invoices, who sees inventory and who sees settings.
Access via AI (MCP)
You can connect MEFYS to AI assistants over the MCP protocol. Access is granted only through a key you create yourself and can revoke at any time, and you limit it with a role (ideally read-only). The assistant sees only what the role allows, for financial documents it can at most prepare a draft for approval, and nothing can be deleted via AI. Your data stays in your MEFYS in the EU. Note: if you connect a third-party assistant, the data you request is also processed by its provider — the choice of assistant is in your hands. Details on the AI control page.
AI document extraction
When you use AI extraction, the content of an uploaded document (typically a received invoice or receipt) is passed to the AI service provider Anthropic, PBC as our processor, solely for automated data extraction. The data is not used to train AI models and any transfer outside the EU is covered by EU standard contractual clauses. The output is always only a draft document that you review and approve — nothing is booked automatically. The feature runs only when you upload a document yourself. No lock-in — the data is yours
You can leave MEFYS anytime together with your data. Export invoices and documents to ISDOC, PDF and CSV/XLSX. We don't tie you in by making it hard to leave.
Who operates MEFYS
MEFYS is developed and operated by ROOT4U s.r.o., a company with a verifiable identity — company ID, registered office, commercial-register entry and contacts are on the Contact page. No anonymous overseas operator.
