Payment terms

How MEFYS subscriptions are paid, which payment methods we accept and who processes online payments for us.

1. What you pay for

MEFYS is an online service (software as a service) operated by ROOT4U s.r.o., company ID 07669470, registered at Palackého 650, 512 51 Lomnice nad Popelkou, Czech Republic. You pay a subscription for using the application according to the plan you choose — monthly, or yearly at a discount. Current prices are listed in the pricing section, both excluding and including VAT, in Czech koruna. We ship no physical goods, so there are no shipping or handling fees.

2. Payment methods

You choose the method when activating a plan and for each individual subscription invoice.

3. Payment gateway provider

Online payments are processed for us by Comgate, a.s.https://www.comgate.eu/cs/platebni-brana

Comgate, a.s.
Gočárova třída 1754/48b, 500 02 Hradec Králové, Czech Republic
E-mail: [email protected]
Phone: +420 228 224 267 (Mon–Fri 8:00–20:00 CET)

Use these contacts for complaints and questions about the payment process itself. For questions about your subscription, invoices or the service, write to us at [email protected].

4. How a card payment works

After choosing card payment, the application redirects you to the secure Comgate payment gateway, where you enter your card details. You confirm the payment according to your bank's rules (usually 3-D Secure — confirmation in your banking app). The result is shown as soon as you return to the application and a confirmation is sent by e-mail. Card details are entered directly into the gateway; MEFYS never sees or stores them. Details: Comgate help — card payments.

5. Recurring subscription payments

When paying by card you can enable recurring charges for your subscription from the same card, so you don't have to pay each invoice manually. Card registration uses a verification payment of CZK 1, which is refunded to you. We notify you by e-mail before and after each charge and issue a tax document for every payment. You can withdraw your consent to recurring payments at any time in the application under Settings → Subscription; you then return to paying by bank transfer. Withdrawing consent does not cancel the subscription itself.

6. How a bank button payment works

You select your bank and the gateway redirects you to its internet banking with the payment pre-filled. Once you confirm it, you return to the application. The money is sent as an instant transfer, so the payment is usually matched within moments. Details: Comgate help — bank transfers.

7. Invoices and tax documents

We issue a tax document for every payment received. You will find it in the application and in your e-mail. Subscription invoices are due within 14 days. If a payment is overdue, access to the service may be temporarily suspended — see the Terms and conditions.

8. Complaints and refunds

Please raise any payment complaint as soon as possible — technical matters of the payment with Comgate using the contacts above, the order and subscription with us at [email protected]. Refunds are returned to the account or card the payment came from. Rules for withdrawal from the contract and cancellation are in the Terms and conditions.

9. Payment security

All communication with the payment gateway is encrypted. Card numbers are handled solely by the gateway, which is certified to the PCI DSS standard; MEFYS keeps only the last four digits and the expiry date for your reference. More about how we secure the service: Security.
